How to Make Your Writing Extra Engaging?

Kickass PBN content writing (2)

Hey, are you a new blogger? Then this is something that you should learn in order to make your readers ‘stay’ on your blog. In fact, you must have came across many articles or posts on the web, of which you just read one or two lines and start skipping the whole text till the end. Doesn’t that seem ridiculous? And then you don’t want to go back there again. Well, as a blogger, you might be facing these types of situations as well. Your readers might not be staying on your blog because of many reasons such as, ‘they do not understand your writing’, ‘they are not getting to the point’, ‘they are not finding your articles very helpful’ etc. There could be many other reasons but that all comes to the deep focus on your writing.

So, definitely if you are a writer or a blogger, you need to make your writing extra engaging to get good feedbacks from your readers and to make them love your writing. I personally have compiled a list of awesome strategies that’ll help you to make your writing interestingly engaging for your readers. They won’t skip your text; they’ll love to read more and more of your written text.

Address Your Readers.

This is the key thing to keep in your mind while writing an article. Whatever I am writing is for ‘you’. I am not talking to the imaginary people or things around me. It’s just ‘you’; reading this right now. You are the one who’ll read this and learn something out of it, and then, you’ll share this knowledge to others to make them learn whatever you learnt. Got it? If still not, read it again from the beginning and try to get to the point.

Now, if you are a writer, you should focus on your readers; address them about whatever you are trying to say in your words to make them understand easily. Focus on one person like me doing right now. I am talking to you straight away. That’s it! This is the key thing, in fact, ‘fun to do’ thing. You should try this and you’ll get a positive response from your readers.

Must Mention Yourself

I hope you’ve got the first point to address to your readers. But that doesn’t mean you’ll forget about yourself. It’ll look awkward if you’ll keep talking to someone who doesn’t even know who you are. Well, it pretty happens (to me as well), that somebody has just met you, maybe or maybe not, he knows you, but he/she will start talking to you about something and the whole time, you are wondering who that person is.

Finally, you’ll have to ask him/her that ‘who are you?’. What else can you do when you can’t remember that person? The consequences will be that the unknown conversation between you and that person might lose its ongoing motion. That shouldn’t happen. But it happens and it has happened to me for numerous times. I don’t like that feeling.

Now focus, it much happens when you email someone to offer your services. Do you mention yourself in an email with a little introduction about you? Well, that pretty helps the receiver to know who you are. They’ll be glad to connect with you then, doesn’t matter if they want your services or not, but they’ll be satisfied with you. Many companies do make these mistakes while sending an email to us (you might have noticed), and to be honest, I become very thoughtful about, “What Is That Company?” Or “Who That Person Is?”.

See these mistakes with a blogger’s point of view. When you visit someone’s blog, that’s because you know the person and then you’ll love to read what he has shared with you. OK! You know Evan Derek? He is an awesome guy and you know he shares interesting stuff with you and that’s why you visit his blog and see the stuff he has shared with you. That’s the point! It’s the second most important thing to keep in mind when you are writing something, like I did.

Turn On Conversational Style

conversation

This part is really a very interesting one of this post. Look, whenever you write a post, write it while imagining that you are standing in front of your friend and discussing something. Make it a conversation! See how I am trying to have a conversation with you. When you write something, think about what answers you are going to get in return from a friend of yours to whom you are discussing about something. Focus on ‘What will they think and what will really attract them?’.

If you think that you really have to use some sort of fancy phrases or words, don’t worry about that, as I am not worrying about that as well. I am just having a casual conversation with you to make you understand about something. The main point is to be a ‘human’, act naturally like ‘a human and talking to another human’. So, like this, you’ll convert a post into a discussion or conversation with your readers. They’ll love to read your text!

Many bloggers or writers do write their posts as like their posts are ‘automated’. They give their best to write something about something, but their readers end up skipping all the text to the bottom. In this case, why would any reader stay on your post? Hope you got the point!

Be Natural Always

After spending quite a lot of time in blogosphere, I have noticed that many people do write articles but act as like those posts are not written by any human. You must be wondering ‘how?’. Let me tell you! For example, people do write a same thing over and over again in their blog posts or articles, which frustrates the reader and he/she won’t take much interest reading your post any further. That’s not good!

If you want your readers to stay and love what you’ve just written, express your words naturally with your emotions. Be natural! Don’t write your text that it does seem quite automated or something. This is a best idea if you are writing on your personal blog about something and sharing knowledge with others.

In business, it is a possibility to use ‘automated’ text-writing trick which exactly seems necessary, but not when you are writing something to share with your audience as ‘knowledge’.

I have seen many people on social media who keep tweeting or updating their statuses, sharing same stuff again and again. Even it makes me feel uncomfortable reading their posts that they share again and again. Why would I see it again when I already have seen it before? Well, I hope you’ve got the point.

Don’t write something again and again, or you’ll end up wasting your time on your post. Doesn’t matter if you write it less, but at least, show some emotions and write it naturally so that your readers love to read it continuously to the bottom; without skipping.

Share a Story in Your Article

story

Well, this sounds interesting, even for me too. Sharing a story in an article is seriously interesting because that’s what will make your readers to stay and read more. Whenever you’ll write a story in your article, that’ll make it endless, even the discussion about that will begin in the comment-box, below the post. So, that quiet of amazing stuff to use on your article.

Stories about yourself, sharing your experiences and knowledge will make it more inspiring for your readers and they will love to read your article.
